The Zed “Ping’s” its way to Qld…

Having tri-owned this delightful purple treasure for many many years it was decided that it was time for the beloved purple Zed to find a new home.  It was not an easy decision to make but as it hadn’t really been driven regularly for so long it really needed to go to someone who would treat it like the gem it is….  So after advertising on the car club classifieds it was in demand!  A long-standing member of the club and true friend of Zed’s (Adrian) was the lucky new owner and the Zed was due to be relocated to a much more tropical retirement paradise – Hervey Bay.  Now this is a very long journey for a little car so an idea was formed and Adrian transported it with his LDV diesel van that was most aptly called “Uncle Ping”.  You may ask, but yes it fitted in the back only with the rear bumper bar needing to be removed.  It was tied down and nicely secured with a comfy pillow for its journey north!
